Dalaman Town
The main square in Dalaman and the high street has a number of restaurants and cafes. Remember that as this is a developing tourist area, not all will serve alcohol, although there are more and more that do. So if you like a drink with your meal or just a drink, check first.
There are several small cafes, especially around the market, serving basic meals such as soup, casserole with rice, or pide, which are amazing value for money. They generally provide lunch for the market stall holders, and you have to order at the counter.
The nearest bakers, supermarket and butchers are just a 10 minute walk from the apartment, walking back towards Dalaman town. The high street provides shops and restaurants for all of your needs. Whilst English is spoken, this is an area new to tourism and you may find that in the smaller local shops it is less so. Everyone however is eager to please and will find someone who can speak English if there are any difficulties.
Further along the road towards Dalaman town, crossing over the high street crossroads is the market area. The market is held every Thursday, and you will find that in comparison to markets in the tourist resorts such as Fethiye, it is cheaper and the stall holders are helpful rather than being pushy. There are also a few fruit and vegetable stalls here each day and their produce is cheaper than in the supermarkets.

Dalyan
Dalyan, located on the river between Itzuzu beach, nesting ground of the caretta caretta sea turtles, and Koycegiz lake, has a lot to offer the visitor. Restaurants and bars line the river frontage, where you can take a water taxi along the river to the beach, the mud baths on the lake, or the 4th century ruins of Caunos. The boat trip in itself is well worth the cost, passing rock tombs cut into the cliffs.
Itsuzu Beach
Iztuzu Beach is a 4.5 km long and forms a natural barrier between the fresh water delta of the Dalyan river and the Mediterranean.
The beach has had a protected status since 1988 and is one of the main breeding grounds for loggerhead sea turtles
